Sunflowers in Tuscany
When we were planning our trip to Tuscany in August 2010, I had one thing I HAD to see. Sunflowers. They are the quintessential element to an Italian movie or picture. I just needed to see for myself what the miles and miles of beautiful yellow flowers would look like. The day after I took this photo, we drove back by this same field and every single flower was dead. My sister, who lives in Tuscany, said that they only grow the flowers for oil, they don't really care about how beautiful they are. That made me so sad! But seeing that amazing sight was one thing checked off my bucket list.
