Low Low’s Lowrider Art Museum

Chimayo, NM, USA

If you miss the first turn off to Santuerio de Chimayo on the road up from Santa Fe, you’ll come in the back way and one of the first things you’ll see is an opportunity to view Arthur and Joan Medina’s art. Housed next to the house, behind a fence, rock music and backlight spills from a large shed with rugs on a dirt floor and an assortment of Low Low’s art from over the years. Sacred mixes with profane, but all from a sincere and humble artist, who truly cares whether you like his work or not. Gave us a great feeling to find someone so genuine.
