Los Arcos National Marine Park

Los Arcos means “The Arches,” and the rationale for this name will become evident as soon as you spy the granite islands punching up out of the ocean. Protected as a national park since 1984, Los Arcos is a favorite spot for snorkelers and scuba divers in Puerto Vallarta. Common spottings include eels, rays and cartoonish trumpetfish. Sea turtles are seen less frequently, but spying them moving gracefully through the water is a delight for lucky visitors.
