This late-19th-century Buddhist temple’s most impressive feature is its 24-meter (79-foot) statue of Buddha, reached by climbing 152 steps. Your reward at the top, in addition to a closer look at the enormous statue, is an expansive view of Nha Trang and the surrounding countryside. This isn’t the only Buddha here; about halfway up the steps there is a smaller 14-meter-long (46-foot-long) reclining Buddha with engravings that can be admired up close. On your way toward the Buddha statue, make sure to look at the upturned eaves of the roof on the site’s temple, where you’ll find beautifully detailed mosaic dragons.
