Find your inner Hawaiian with Auntie Irene and Sandra who present the Hookipa cultural program at the Ko'ele resort on the island of Lana'i keeping the history and culture of Hawaii alive. Ho`okipa, meaning hospitality in Hawaiian, is an on-going series of interactive cultural classes created by Lanai’s kupuna, or Hawaiian elders.
You can learn how the past intertwines with the present while trying your hand and hips at classic cultural activities such as lei making, ukulele, coconut weaving, and hula dance.
The program is complimentary if you are a guest of the hotel!

Orchids - Home Sweet Home
Colorful orchids have found a home at the Four Seasons Ko'ele Lodge. You can walk around the grounds and decide to pop in and visit the orchid house - a sensory overload.
A small table, chairs, and bench are placed in the house and guests can sit and enjoy the botanical beauties.
Afternoon tea is a perfect sophisticated up-country activity after a morning of hiking or croquet around the Ko'ele Lodge on the island of Lana'i. Delectable miniature desserts and scones with clotted scream and lemon curd put my tea drinking pinky finger to work!
