Lindos is exactly what you dream a Greek island village should be like. Its houses line a labyrinth of alleyways on numerous levels, and form a chaotic stack of whitewashed cubes. Below the village are several gorgeous sandy beaches, including one where St Paul is supposed to have landed in AD58 on a mission to convert the island. To top it all, literally, is a rocky headland with both a castle and an ancient temple.
