It's hard not to go into Lillstreet and not want to peek into every room... photos, half complete ceramic pieces, silver necklaces, bins of markers and art equipment appear behind doorways, in hallways, and in almost every corner of the building.
Creation is definitely going on in here.
Lillstreet is located in Chicago's far north neighborhood of Ravenswood, a cozy residential area right off the L train.
I took a digital photography class to nurture the long-standing love affair I've had with The Camera. The instructor and class were welcoming, constructive, non-judgmental. I won't bore you with the class syllabus -- you can view that online -- the important thing was the feeling of passion the class shared for photo taking, evidenced through our weekly photo assignments.
You'll also find at Lillstreet kids classes, regular exhibits, a small cafe, and a gift shop, where you can purchase unique handcrafted art and jewelry from local artists.
Truly a place to find an education in expression.
