Le trop bon Bon Saint Pourçain
An favorite neighborhood haunt goes dark. Several years later, along comes David Lahner, with is collection of stellar restaurants Racines, Caffè Stern and Vivant, to turn a spotlight on the neglected space, chasing away the ghosts of meals past and bringing a local 'cantine' back to life. Tucking down the quiet cobbled street one feels like they are in a black&white photo of Paris gone by, but the food served in the miniscule space is anything but old school. Chef Mathieu Techer adds a poetic touch of to the neo-bistrot tradition, dazzling locals who come for the memories and return for a cuisine that features a short menu of what's in season.
