The rumor of hauntings won't surprise you when you see the colonial-era building that once was the headquarters of the Dutch East Indies Railway Company. The site's name means "Thousand Doors," and the fabulous mid-19th-century building has hundreds of windows, although inside it is mostly empty and wasting away. Whether you're hunting for ghosts, like many of the visitors, or showing up to soak in the historical and cultural interest of the building, the experience is likely to tickle a nerve.
