When going back to Toulouse, the only place I can think of to catch up with my friends and share tapas is L‘Annexe. The place offers incredible tapas made with local products; which let’s face it, I miss a lot when I am abroad.
Nestled in one of the cutest area of Toulouse, les Carmes, the restaurant is an ‘’ annexe ‘’ of the reputed steak house La Braisière. Therefore, quality is the motto. Fresh local products, served as the traditional Spanish tapas, for sharing; definitely cooked with a South of France influence.
Traditional duck’s heart, Toulouse sausage, or camembert cooked in oven, any tapas simply amaze by its savor. Seafood lovers, are not left out, with succulent ‘’A la plancha’’ prawns and razor shells, fresh oysters, clams... The wine list is quite large and qualitative, and service quality is great. The staff is friendly and effective, no matters how crowded the place is.
In this restaurant bar, you’ll mostly encounter locals, in their thirty enjoying great food and a glass of wine after work, until late.
