After visiting four parks across Uganda our last stop was the lovely Mihngo Lodge adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park. Each new park we visited had something special to offer and Lake Mburo was the first to allowed us to explore on foot, or horseback. There is only one lion in the park, rumored to be an escapee from neighboring Tanzania. Lake Mburo National Park is a zebra, warthog and antelope party without predators.
One of my safari highlights was a sunset horseback ride through the park. I still get chills remembering the thrill of riding my horse, Summer Song, through a herd of zebras. I felt like I was part of the African landscape and not just observing it. What an experience!
