Some of Milan's best hidden treasures are only accessible by foot. Brera is one such area, with most of the shops and restaurants being accessible only to pedestrians. La Sorbetteria Castiglione was my most treasured delight during the five months I spent in Milan.
People might tell you Chocolati Italiani is the best, but that is only for the rich of heart. If you are looking for the perfect satisfying blend of the rich gelato taste without feeling sick halfway through or waiting in the long lines, this is the place for you. Try the specialty flavors, in particular Ludovico, but cioccolato is always a classic must.
This delicious gelateria is located on Via Madonnina, where you can also usually find women who will tell your fortune for a small fee on a nice day. But for those of you who don't speak Italian, just know gelato from La Sorbetteria Castiglione is in your cards.
