If you are living on tapas alone (as I did for many months upon arriving in Granada) you might be operating under the false impression that Andalusian cuisine is not that great. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation at La Oliva. It's not a restaurant, it's a shop that offers a 15 course tasting menu by reservation only. It's well worth the 38.50 euros/person, as the menu is accompanied by several wines which are poured generously.
The dining room is cozy and the chef/host is delightful - very warm, accommodating and full of information. Easily the best meal I've had in Spain.
