A Favorite Sight among Locals
Situated on top of a hill that overlooks the ocean and Catalina Island, the Korean Friendship Bell is a beautiful gift that was given to Los Angeles by the Republic of Korea in 1976. It commemorates the American bicentennial, honors Korean War veterans, and symbolizes the relationship between the U.S. and Korea. The bell was recently restored and looks more vibrant than ever. After your visit, stay in the surrounding park for a picnic or a kite-flying session.
