Volosko is a little Istrian seaside town, not far from Rijeka. Konoba Tramerka isn't right on the water, it's up a little alley, which means that it's slightly off the tourist path. Fresh octopus was marinated then grilled and dressed with a sesame-soy dressing (shown). A pasta dish (the pasta was called pljukanci), with tiny little shrimps and leeks, was deliciously buttery. And monkfish was served with saffron sauce, tomatoes, olives, and polenta.
