Here be dragons--really
It’s exciting walking around Komodo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site that encompasses three main islands. About 1100 people live in small villages on Komodo island—and about 1218 Komodo dragons. The dragons are wild, which means they can and do pop up unexpectedly. Be watchful. A large male can be a big as 10 feet or so long and weigh around 150 pounds.
