City timeline in a column
Koblenz was a Roman town. This statuary column in Josef-Gorres Platz recounts that history, with the base depicting the first settlers who rowed up the Rhine (or the Mosel, the intersect here). There are lots of restaurants nearby and it's just a short walk to the riverfront to the east or north.
