Klondike Gold Fields
Klondike Gold Fields is a Skagway attraction built around a 350-ton dredge recovered from the Klondike and reassembled on the bank of the Skagway River. You can tour the dredge and then try your hand at panning gold with help from a costumed “sourdough.” There’s also a cold chamber that mimics the 40-degrees-below-zero conditions on the Iditarod Trail. You can suit up in snow gear and step inside to perform experiments and learn about the effects of such harsh temperatures.
