"Jambo! Jambo! Jambo!" The Kenyan kids were bright-eyed and bushy tailed to see me bearing gifts of unspeakable value - CHOCOLATES!
I smiled to all of them and said, "Happy New Year..." They all screamed back at me, "Happy New Year!"
I handed the fifteen boxes of chocolates to the oldest kid and saw the twinkle in his eye. I knew he would divide it evenly amongst all the kids from the neighborhood. I didn't see fighting, instead I saw joy. I saw an abundance of happiness in the eyes of these children.
And just like that, my new year began in the right direction, the direction of giving for the happiness of others.
