The sand was soft. The sky was azure blue. The birds were singing. The air was balmy. I could smell the the salt in the sea at the beach. I felt lighthearted and relaxed. I was in Key Largo, the Florida Keys.
The Keys are a vacation away from the stress of everyday life.
The beauty of this string of islands can be overwhelming at times. At least that's how I feel when I look at the beaches on the Atlantic and the beaches on the Gulf.
A trip to the Keys offers many options. There are five-star resort hotels, casual bungalow sites, and camping. The choices are varied and numerous. Be sure to check out the size of the beach if you want to swim, as some beach areas are very small.
The restaurants follow the same line, and Happy Hour reigns supreme.
The sports and activities offered at resorts and hotels are numerous.
Starting at Key Largo and ending at Mile Marker 0 in Key West, the different Keys offer something for everyone who loves the tropics.
Make sure that you pick up brochures at your hotel desk, and you will have loads of suggestions for places to eat, sights to see, and things to do.
A trip to the Florida Keys should be on your travel list. You won't be sorry.
