While volunteering in Jimma, Ethiopia, I had the good fortune to visit the Missionaries of Charity. This program (originally started in India by Mother Teresa) has homes all over the world. The wonderfully kind and strong nuns that run this organization are caring for hundreds of homeless, sick and malnourished people in Jimma. These plates of grain are, for the most part, what is keeping many of the residents there alive. The nuns (and other volunteers) at MOC are proof that there are purely good and selfless people in this world.
