The glacier-fed waters of the Talkeetna River make a prime setting for aquatic activities like jetboat and float trips. Tour companies offer lazy float trips that take in the scenery and wildlife such as salmon, bears, eagles, moose and foxes. Faster jetboats also ply the waters of the Talkeetna at the borderlands of Denali National Park & Preserve. Some river trips also include runs on the Chulitna and Susitna rivers and pass through the Chulitna River Gorge with its Class II and Class III whitewater rapids.
