Beer. Bread. Bubbles. So says the awning outside. You can't go wrong with that combo, can you?
Jason provides the crowded corner that collects Cape Town's hipster set of a lunchtime. Expect good looking trendoids, scooters outside, and that slightly elitist vibe that is the ambiance at all artisinal places these days. (Must be the bubbles.) But the bread and the beer are handmade, honest, wholesome, moreish.
While this is an eat-and-drink place, don't count on it for anything substantial. You know the deal in a crowded place: you're holding your drink, you take a bite of the great, big, delicious bread, and there's flour and/or dribbling dressing down your chin. (Same for their 'kickasspiess', but they're worth it. Try braised impala with baby onions and black olives.)
