After taking in the beauty of the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park, save time for tea and a snack at the tea house, located inside the Tea Garden, next to the Gift Shop. The tea here is excellent, and snacks such as edamame, cookies, and miso soup are also available for purchase. As we sat on the open-air terrace, on a large wooden table overlooking the garden, the green tea and miso soup warmed us up and gave us a chance to appreciate the setting. Tip: visit in winter if possible; the weather is often nice for San Francisco, and the garden is much less crowded than in high season.
