My husband and I visited Queenstown recently on our honeymoon and while doing research we didn't find much in the way of restaurant reviews. He found Ivy & Lola's and it was our favorite meal of the trip so far. It was such a quaint restaurant, set right on the lake with optional outdoor seating. We sat inside because it was a bit chilly and the inside was so warm, cozy and nearly decorated with old radios, kitchen utensils. We shared green mussels, which literally had green shells and were twice the size of anything we've had in the US, and a bowl of hearty seafood chowder. Both were served with big slices of garlic toast. For dinner we had pork belly and fish which were equally as tasty. If we had room we would have sprung for dessert. I came back the next day to take a photo for this post and it appeared they served a nice brunch as well. We did t find the prices to be unreasonable at all for the location and the high quality of food. I highly recommend Ivy and Lola's for a great meal and ambiance.
