This family-owned microbrewery creates special brews for restaurants and bars along the Santa Barbara Coast. Located right next to the train tracks and right across from the beach camping area, the brewery sits in a former citrus packing house.
Island Brewing Company seems to be the ‘Cheers of Carpinteria’ as it has a loyal following of locals who gather here to catch up over a pint. When business in the tasting room slows down, you can ask for a tour so that you can get a behind-the-scenes look of the brewery.
While I rarely drink beer and barely like it, I must say that I really enjoyed my half pint of the seasonal Avocado Honey Ale while my husband opted for a pint of the Paradise Pale Ale.
