Every year the beginning of June between 50-80 people and horses show up for a long weekend of cattle driving just for the fun of it. Most sleep in tents or in trailers but we ended up in the back of a stock trailer (fortunately cleaned out) between saddles, bridles and bed rolls with our borrowed horses hitched to the side.
The only problem is you must either have your own horse or borrow from friends.
We flew into Oklahoma City and drove for a few hours to the gathering spot but one could fly into the Vici municipal airport unless you are trailering your horses.
Northern Oklahoma is a beautiful place with rolling hills, tree-lined streams and vast amounts of open sky.
