I am amazed that I could capture some poetic shots at Hyderabad’s Hussain Sagar Lake, contrary to the fact that I didn’t quite like the city! All I remember about Hyderabad is its rush hour and pollution. However, sunset has a different story to tell! The lake looks absolutely scintillating at dusk. Hussain Sagar Lake is as old as the 15th century, thus, has quite a history behind it. It was built by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali to meet the irrigation needs of the city. Besides its own beauty, the lake has many other attractions like Masjid and Dargah of Sayedani Maa Tomb, statue of Buddha in the middle of the lake, amusement parks and eating joints. No wonder it’s popular as one of the best hangout hubs of Hyderabad. Be it youngsters, oldies or kids - people throng the place in the evenings just like Juhu Beach in Mumbai. When I went there, I found it to be a foregone relief from the otherwise chaotic Hyderabad. I could feel a resonating beauty in the air as the soothing lake set a melody of its own. Couples are seen stealing a few moments away from the crowd and settling for a heart-to-heart rendezvous with each other. The idea is to smell the subtle romance of Hyderabad, which is hidden beyond its traditions and culture.
