While in Granada, Spain, I chose to stay at the Hotel Guadalupe, a lovely hotel just minutes from the main entrance to the Alhambra. This was the view from my balcony. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk to the main part of town, but the wooded path along the walls of the Alhambra make the stroll worth it. Just watch out for the ladies along the path that try to sell you a sprig of rosemary and then try to read your fortune. A polite but stern, "no, gracias", usually does the trick.
