Hirschsprung Museum
The first half of the 19th century is known as a golden age for Danish art. To understand why—and to become familiar with artists such as Hammershøi, Købke, Eckersberg, and Krøyer, whose names aren’t as well known outside of Denmark—visit this museum founded by tobacco magnate Heinrich Hirschsprung, who left his art collection to the country when he died in 1908.
