Hilton's Huanying Program Welcomes Chinese Visitors
Jasmine tea and a tea kettle were awaiting me in my room at the Hilton SFO Union Square. After a long flight, I was happy to slip into the comfy slippers provided, pour a cup of tea and wander out to the lanai to take in a view of Coit Tower, the Financial District and the East Bay. In that moment I understood how this simple thoughtfulness would genuinely be appreciated by the traveler from China. And it is free.
The program Hilton Worldwide offers is called Huanying meaning "welcome" in Mandarin, and is available to Chinese travelers in select properties around the world in Australasia, Asia, Europe, Middle East, The Americas, and it's growing every month.
Within China, Hilton properties are highly regarded, so building upon positive brand recognition, Hilton extends a special welcome to the Chinese visitor via this unique program now numbering 113 properties, in 32 countries and 65 cities. At the SFO property, in addition to the tea and slippers there is a Mandarin television channel, a lovely Chinese breakfast and a Chinese translation service offered gratis via phone. Nearby the program is also offered at the Hilton SFO Financial District (Chinatown) and Hilton SFO Airport Bayfront.
