Nothing Quite Like a Fresh Hawaiian Pineapple
For pineapple lovers, there is probably no better place to indulge in the spiny fruit than in Hawaii. Local markets and even grocery stores (including Costco) carry pineapples that are so ripe that juice will be running down your chin. Ripe pineapples smell sweet and fragrant from their bottom, and the leaves from the top will pull out easily. Be careful not to overindulge, or your mouth will end up with sores from the acid. But, I know, perfect pineapple is hard to pass up!
