Hiking Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park has 200 kilometers (125 miles) of historic trails that allow guests to discover its beauty as hikers have been doing since the 1800s. The seven-kilometer (4.4-mile) Ocean Path starts at the parking lot at Sand Beach and makes its way to Otter Point and back along the Atlantic Ocean. The trail passes Thunder Hole inlet where, right before high tide, the surf “thunders” in and reaches as high as 12 meters (40 feet).
