Just four kilometers away, Helsingborg’s Danish twin can be admired without even crossing the water. Helsingør is well worth the journey, though, not least for Kronborg Castle, made famous as Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet.
Get up close and personal with Helsingør on the regular passenger ferry that runs across the sound. Walk around the charming harbor area or visit the nearby castle, Danish National Maritime Museum or the Culture Yard.
The medieval Church of St. Mary and red-brick Our Lady Monastery are also close to the ferry port.
