When my friends came through Honolulu and said they had a room at the Hale Koa, I had an opportunity to see what the resort is all about. The Hale Koa is dedicated to providing service men and women of all ranks with a place for rest and relaxation (see their website to find out who qualifies). Moderately priced for Waikiki, the property has all the bells and whistles that other hotels offer, including a luau and proudly operates on it's own financial standing and without federal funding.
The Hale Koa has several pools and a beach bar along with some shops and restaurants. Within several blocks of Kalakaua Avenue, all the amenities of Waikiki are close by and make Hale Koa a wonderful place to stay.
