"At that hour when soft lights come and go,
Soft sweet music in the air above
And in the earth below"-James Joyce
When you enter O'Connors pub you can feel its reverence in the walls that surround you. A fireplace fills the air with the scent of peat and melts the chill of the rugged western coast. It has seen scores of traditional Irish musicians circle around together since 1832 in what are known as 'Seisiuns'. Celtic history is etched in the faces of the older players and their voices sing out in a gaelic tongue.
All are welcome to play, dance, sing and join in the evenings musical gathering.
No matter where you hail from, near or far, you are friend in O'Connors Pub. You are Irish.
