Pulling up to the Gull Wings Children’s Museum in Oxnard, you’re first thought is that it looks like a small blue house. Step inside, however, it’s a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. You’ll quickly find that your kids will want to spend literally hours there. They can imagine themselves being firefighters, astronauts, geologists and doctors. They can hold creepy crawly things such as snakes, play with tons of Legos, climb a rock wall, take the wheel of an actual car, watch a miniature train go round a small town, connect with other kids and generally have a blast. The museum doesn’t have a lot of technology so imagination and creativity is required—which didn’t seem to be a problem at all for the kids that were there when we visited.
