Gros Morne National Park
Gros Morne National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Western Newfoundland. Here you can walk the Tablelands, a beautiful but stark lunar-like landscape where the earth’s mantle was pushed up through the crust when two continents collided. The high cliffs at Western Brook Pond rise dramatically above the landscape, and Gros Morne Mountain is a beauty to behold. The tiny communities scattered around the park, like Norris Point and Woody Point, make for charming introductions to rural Newfoundland.
