Having spent most of my childhood summers visiting family in Massachusetts, it's no wonder that Grey Lady would spark my interest.
Unlike the majority of dive bars and music venues characteristic of Manhattan's Lower East Side, Grey Lady feels like a breath of fresh air. Their menu and decor is reminiscent of Nantucket and it's a perfect brunch or dinner spot.
I've tasted a few different dishes here but I'd highly recommend trying their lobster roll if you are a seafood fan. The french fries are also delicious. Prices are a bit steep even for Manhattan so save Grey Lady for a night when you want to splurge.
To get here: Take the F to Delancey Street or the B,D to Grand Street. Grey Lady is located at 77 Delancey Street.
