Just a half block away from La Plaza de Armas, Greens Organic is tucked upstairs of a larger Peruvian restaurant. A window seat gives you a nice vantage point of the tourists walking the streets.
The food is organic and locally sourced. The bruschetta with olives and goat cheese is a great starter. For the main course, the waiter recommended the crispy trout filet over zucchini noodles. Other opinions included spinach-stuffed chicken and alpaca beef. For desert his suggestion was the pears carpaccio in red wine over local ice cream (pictured above). The wine list had several South American options.
An added bonus: menus were available in both Spanish and English. Delicious food with a mission of sustainability. What could be better?
