Gallivanting at Goolwa
Goolwa, South Australia; an historic river port near the mouth of the Murray River, and also home to a stunning beach where if you are organised enough to go at low tide and in a 4×4, you can drive along it. With the sea crashing to your right and sand dunes rising up to your left, it is a beautiful ride. Just avoid the soft sand patches and watch the tide coming back in or else you may find yourself a little stuck. (Oh and don’t leave your camera bag behind on the sand as you might not be as lucky as me to have a kind Aussie close by who hangs on to it until you go back!)
