Is Global Village an international mall? An amusement park? A mini-Disney? How about all of the above? The Village sprawls across a huge patch of desert just outside of downtown Dubai, and features pavilions from more than 60 countries, including Spain, Morocco, Italy, India, China, Egypt, and Thailand. Ride the Ferris wheel, shop the thousands of handmade items, nibble on street food samples, and take a ride on a canal boat—and that’s just a small sampling of all the things to do here.
There are 30 restaurants serving cuisine from around the globe, and the World Culture Stage hosts a revolving selection of activities, shows, and concerts. If you’re lucky, you may even catch one of the many famous performers that grace its stage on the regular. Take the kids to the Funfair Ground with skill games and thrill rides, or take the littler ones to the Kids' Play Area and Express Train. The Village is open in the cooler months, from November to April, although remember that "cooler" here means that it's still in the 70s Fahrenheit.
