Among the finest Highland whiskies, Glenmorangie’s gentle hints of peat flavor and light hue make it one of the best-selling single-malts in the world. A Dutch-style barn (dubbed the Highland Cathedral) contains the stills and is a highlight of the tour. A point of pride is the water source—Tarlogie Springs—and the barley, which is largely grown in nearby fields. For true whisky aficionados, special tours are available including lunch at the exclusive Glenmorangie House and tastings of the top-shelf stuff. (Think “orange” when pronouncing the name.)
