Visitors can support the local arts community by visiting the Girdwood Center for Visual Arts, a nonprofit cooperative that showcases more than 40 Alaska artists. Works in the gallery include jewelry, art glass, oil paintings and pottery. The venue regularly hosts art openings and events.
