A Corner of Peace and Beauty on Martha's Vineyard
Despite staying on the island in October, the quaint Edgartown was still buzzing with people due to the holiday weekend. A spontaneous drive to the western side of the island proved fruitful and showed us that there is more than just picturesque towns to Martha's Vineyard. Apart from a few other visitors, our only company was Mother Nature. The cliffs (which are closed to the public) were even more spectacular in person and the fall foliage provided the perfect backdrop. (Note that the lighthouse itself is only open from the summer solstice to the fall equinox.)
