I love a bit of French toast as much as the next person, but this was off the scale! Brioche soaked in Creme Anglaise - then topped with apricot compote and maple syrup.
Obviously, this sort of dish doesn't make up my regular diet, but it was super divine! I did try to recreate it at home for my other half - disaster! They clearly have a secret recipe (:
You don't have to be a Four Seasons guest to enjoy their brekkies - just walk in and take a pew.

Just another pebble
The Four Seasons in Vancouver is quite simply an amazing place to stay, pretty much everything about it is great - it's as comfortable as it is elegant.
For me, it wasn't the hotel experience that I'll never forget - it was the little pebble that was left beside my bed with a short note about from where the pebble had come, and it's purpose for being.
In a step towards being eco-conscious - the Four Seasons asks you to leave the pebble in the centre of your bed if you are happy for the linen to not be changed by housekeeping that day.
The story, and idea, was so heart-melting - I imagine not even the most sceptical, die-hard, non-eco-warriors could resist.
