Forum Istanbul, like the megamalls of Dubai, not only has brand-name shops that mum and dad will love, it also has plenty of attractions for the kids to enjoy. There’s the Turkuazoo Aquarium (www.turkuazoo.com/en) where you can view 10,000 sea creatures in 4.5 million litres of water and dive with the sharks - if you're game. Jurassic Land (www.jurassicland.com.tr/en/), is an education and entertainment exhibition space featuring the life and times of dinosaurs that roamed the earth some 65 million years ago. Then there's low-key family fun activities including 10-pin bowling, mini golf, Fun Lab, mirror maze and cinemas. There are discounts on entry fees to some attractions with the Museum Pass (www.muze.gov.tr/museum_pass).
To reach Forum Istanbul, taxis from Sultanahmet will be about 40TL, or you can take the Metro from Aksaray train station (five minute walk from the Yusupaşa tram station) to Kocatepe/Kartaltepe. The train stops right outside Forum Istanbul. Fares are 3TL per person or 1.95TL with an Istanbulkart. Children under the age of seven ride for free.
