Flying P-Liner Passat
This four-masted steel bark was built in the early 1900s for the famous local shipping company F. Laeisz. Although it no longer sails between continents for months at a time, it still represents one of the last surviving windjammers and is an important local landmark. It also serves as a youth hostel, events venue and museum. Exhibits inside the ship’s museum section relate how it was to serve on board, and the sailors’ bunks and washrooms can be found belowdecks.
