As if Budapest's Parliament Building wasn't stunning enough, with its 365 spires and contrasting colors, the view from Fisherman's Bastion, across the Danube from it, only increased its dramatic appearance. I literally gasped as we walked past St. Matthias Church and this came into view.
The easiest way to get to the Bastion, and around the Castle District, is by car. As I recall, there is a fee for cars, however, if you are just making a quick stop, you don't have to pay. We simply did a drive up, hop out, look around, snap pictures, and hop back in-sort of stop, and were not required to pay a fee.
Whether you decide to take your time at the Bastion, or opt for the more economic, though equally satisfying visit, this is one of many stops in Budapest you shouldn't miss!
