If you’re the kind of traveler that walks upstream of the tourist flow, the Dalí museum in Figueres is worth a stop on your way to Barcelona. Dali said, “You have to systematically create confusion, it sets creativity free,” which appears to be an explanation for the surrealist layout of the museum. It’s like as if he intended visitors to enjoy the feeling of getting lost inside. Paying homage to surrealism and to the architect himself, the building, outside and in, is as much a work of art as the exhibitions themselves.
